With these fateful words, the Weird Sisters launch MacBeth, loyal partisan of good King Duncan, onto a path of betrayal and murder. Urged ever onward by his ambitious and ruthless wife, MacBeth leaves a widening trail of death and despair as he fulfills the destiny revealed by the sisters. Regarding Macbeth:In the world of business the boardroom can be as vicious as the battlefield. As a prominent CEO, King Duncan is busy fighting corporate take-overs…little does he know that his biggest threat is actually within his own company. The world of Scotland is transformed into a corporate environment, which King Duncan as the CEO of a large company. His senior staff members include the Thanes, Lords and Generals. His sons, of course, are poised to inherit the company upon Duncan’s retirement. As an up-and-coming corporate superstar, Macbeth’s recent promotion has given him eyes on a new prize, overtaking King Duncan as the company’s CEO. With an even more ambitious wife, Macbeth feels the pressure of this contrived ascension at both work and home…and he must deliver. Through unspeakable acts of murder, Macbeth and his wife will stop at nothing until the company is theirs and all those loyal to the now deceased CEO are put out of commission. However, as the greedy climb the corporate ladder, it is their own hubris that creates their untimely end. In Macbeth’s world, business is cut throat, literally.
