Give Your Holiday Spirit An Early Spark With Vpstart Crow’s An O. Henry Christmas!

Vpstart Crow Productions will present its fifth and final performance of the 2007 season, Howard Burman's An O. Henry Christmas, November 9-18, 2007. Performances will be held at The Cramer Center, located at 9008 Center Street in Old Town Manassas, VA.

Helmed by Artistic Director Christine D. Lange, An O. Henry Christmas will run on the following dates and times:

Friday, Nov. 9 – 8 p.m. (Opening Night)
Saturday, Nov. 10 – 8 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 11 – 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. (Talkback after the matinee)

Friday, Nov. 16 – 8 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 17 – 8 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 18 – 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

In An O. Henry Christmas, according to Baker’s Plays, after escaping wrongful imprisonment, a mysterious storyteller enters an abandoned railroad spur on the outskirts of New York City on Christmas Eve in 1893. In exchange for some hobo stew, “O.P.” entertains a rag-tag mix of seemingly lost souls by spinning a few tales and, in the process, rekindles the spirit of giving. He magically transforms the crew into players to stage The Gift of the Magi and other beloved O. Henry stories. With wordplay, trickery and sentimental holiday fare, this is a heartwarming play that will be sure to rouse audiences with the spirit of the holiday season.

An O. Henry Christmas will feature Vpstart veterans Ted Ballard (Grover), Carolyn Cameron (Agnes), Kathryn Kelly (Marguerite) and Jonathan Marget (Dinty), while Greg Crowe (Guido), Mike King (Hal), Janet Devine Smith (Fran) and Joseph Thornhill (O.P.) will all make their Vpstart debuts.
